Marie Curie, French chemist and physicist
Marie Curie (1867-1934), French chemist and physicist of Polish origin. Curie was awarded jointly with her husband Pierre Curie and Antoine Becquerel in1903 the Nobel Prize for Physics. In 1911 she was awarded the Nobel Prize for Chemistry. Seen here in her laboratory in the Sorbonne in Paris
