Marie Curie (1867-1934), French chemist and physicist of Polish origin. Curie was awarded jointly with her husband Pierre Curie and Antoine Becquerel in 1903 the Nobel Prize for Physics. In 1911 she was awarded the Nobel Prize for Chemistry
