Martin Dies (left), chairman of the House Committee on Un-American Activities receives the report from John C. Metcalfe (right) who conducted undercover investigations into the activities of the German American alliance. During the investigation he wore a uniform of the Storm Troopers of the German American Alliance, as he does on the photo, too. According to his knowledge, the members of the New York German American Alliance planned to celebrate Hitler's conquest of the Sudetenland
