This monument in front of the church of St. Peter and Paul in Mittenwald was built for Matthias Klotz, the founder of violin making in the village. The boy on the right is a descendant of the violin maker. On the pedestal is the inscription: M. Klotz / Born 1653 Died 1743'. Undated photo by the photographer Paul Edmund Hahn from Frankfurt, probably taken around 1920
