The 20th Annual Meeting of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society for the Advancement of Science took place at the Harnack House in Berlin-Dahlem on June 1, 1931. From left: Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach, German industrialist and Vice-President of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society, Carl Duisberg, German chemist and chairman of the supervisory board of IG Farben, Friedrich Schmidt-Ott, former Prussian Minister of Education and Vice-President of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society, Professor Becker, former State Minister and Vice-President of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society and Max Planck, since 1930 President of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society
