Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria was the son of Frederick Michael, Count Palatine of Zweibruecken, husband of: 1. Princess Wilhelmine Auguste of Hesse-Darmstadt (1785), 2. Princess Karoline Friederike Wilhelmine of Baden (1797)
