The Research Institute for Motor Vehicles of the Technical University in Berlin is mainly working on eliminating background noise. They are making a test for breaking distance measurement on a car. At the Gartenufer in Charlottenburg a 5th wheel was adjusted onto a car, which measures the braking distance by means of a tachometer
