Members of the Italian Marinaretti at roll call, 1933
A group of young Italian boys in sailor suits lined up in the courtyard of the Balilla House of the Marinaretti in Rome in 1933. The children are members of the Marinaretti, the little sailors within the fascist Opera Nazionale Balilla. They are under the command of officers of the Italian Navy and are drilled at an early age. The Marinaretti house was located on the right bank of the Tiber River in Rome, in the street Lungotevere Flaminio
