Membership card of Adolf Hitler in the DAP
In the Spiegel issue 16/1973, Hitler's original party membership card in the German Workers Party, the predecessor organization of the NSDAP, was printed on page 167. For propagandistic reasons, Hitler's membership number would be lowered from 555 to 5 to make him look like a member of the first hour. There were also cards in circulation with the membership number 7
