Memorial for the small cruiser Emden which was destroyed in the First World War by the Australian light cruiser Sydney on the Cocos Islands after the sinking of various enemy trade- and a Russian warship on 9.11.1914. The bronze plaque that was placed under the National Socialist government in 1934 at the police station in Emden, shall remind of its military successes
