: Memorial plaque for British airman Lt. Reginald Warneford

Memorial plaque for British airman Lt. Reginald Warneford

Memorial plaque for British airman Lt. Reginald Alexander John Warneford at the wall of the Onze Lieve Vrouw Visitatie monastery in Ghent. The inscription reads: On 7 June 1915 at 02:30 o'clock in the morning the English aviator Warneford shot down the German airship No 36. The number of the airship is wrong in this version of the plaque. Warneford actually shot down the German zeppelin LZ 37, the number was changed into a 37 later on. 01.01.1914-31.12.1918
