Michail Bakunin
The Russian revolutionary Mikhail Alexandrovich Bakunin (1814-1876). In 1844 he established contact with P. J. Proudhon and Karl Marx in Paris. In May 1849 he was involved in the Dresden uprising and was imprisoned. In 1851 he was extradited to Russia and in 1857 he was sent to Siberia, from where he fled to London in 1861. Here he took part in the First International (he was excluded in 1872)
