The penitentiary Tempelhofer Feld, a former military prison. In 1933 the Gestapo established in it the concentration camp known as the Columbia concentration camp, in the early stages one of the most notorious torture centers in the middle of Berlin. Closed in 1936, the building was demolished during the construction works on the Tempelhof Airport
