When the mining was no longer profitable, the watchmaking industry was placed in this area (south of Dresden). In Glashuette is located Germany's most important, one can say university of horology''. In the old parish church an elaborately carved miner who holds the pulpit is reminiscent of the mining period. 01.01.1919-31.12.1932
