Mobilization in France, 1939
Mobilization in France during the last weeks of peace before the Second World War. Gas masks, that the French government had previously received from Czechoslovakia after the Sudeten crisis of September 1938, are distributed in six Parisian arrondissements. The arrondissements were chosen at random. In the picture a soldier puts a gas mask on a little boy in a distribution station
