Model of the airship designer David Schwarz (1850-1897) made entirely of aluminum. The first rigid airship capable of flying with aluminum frame and envelope was completed in 1897 and on the 3rd of November in the same year was tested in Berlin. After the death of Schwarz his patent was acquired by Count von Zeppelin
