Monument to Henri Dunant at the Zurich Central Cemetery, 193

The monument to the Swiss philanthropist Henri (Henry) Dunant (1828-1910) on his honor grave in the central cemetery in Zurich, was unveiled on 09.05.1931 and is a work of the sculptor Hans Gisler. At Dunant's initiative the Red Cross was founded in Geneva in 1863. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize with Frederic Passy in 1901
