Mountain troops in Cholm, 1942
A mountain trooper, probably a member of the Jagdkommando 8 (Hunting Commando 8), pours himself a tea from a samovar in Kholm. During the encirclement battle of Kholm the Kampfgruppe Scherer successfully defended the town for 105 days.
