A murdered communist is buried in New York, 1930

The coffin with the body of the murdered communist Steve Katovis is brought by supporters of the Communist Party in their Workers Bureau headquarters at the Union Square East No. 28, where it will be laid out solemnly. On the right you can see a portrait of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. Katovis died on 16 January 1930 during violent worker battles. His death triggered several demonstrations
