Mussolini's speech to Blackshirts in Rome, 1942
On February 1, 1942, Benito Mussolini (on the podium at right) gave a speech in Rome to Blackshirts on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the founding of the fascist militia Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale'. Previously, the Blackshirts had called themselves Squadrists'. Mussolini distributed 39 golden medals for bravery
