On the Kohlemarkt, welfare organizations of the NSDAP inaugurate the memorial Das Goldene Buch der Not ('The Golden Book of Distress'). This was the appeal to the citizens of Gdansk to become charitable for the National Socialism and should be a reminder of the global economic crisis and the resulting hardship.
