The New Castle in the light of the headlights, 1937
On the occasion of the meetings of the German Foreign Institute (11.-15.08.1937) and the Reich Party Day of the Germans Abroad (28.08.-05.09.1937) in Stuttgart all representative buildings of the city are illuminated at night, as here, the New Castle. This castle is a U-shaped building that was built between 1746 and 1807 as one of the last Baroque residences for Charles Eugene, Duke of Wuerttemberg. It has 365 rooms and shows different style elements such as Baroque, Rococo, Classicism and Empire
