The new fairy tale of the Frog Prince from
Under the title Das neue Maerchen vom Froschkoenig (The New Fairy Tale of the Frog Prince) a satirical reinterpretation of the well-known fairy tale appeared in four pictures in the journal Simplicissimus in 1932. The draftsman expressed his concern over a reintroduction of the monarchy after the seizure of power by Hitler. Here is the fourth and last picture in which the Frog Prince has been transformed by the kiss of Germania into Crown Prince Wilhelm of Prussia. The caption reads: And, behold, the ugly frog suddenly turned into a beautiful prince, if and when they are to die, we will see tomorrow
