Occupation of Albania by Italy, 1939

In early April 1939, the Italian army occupied Albania. On April 7, the offensive began with the attack on several Albanian port cities. The photograph shows Durazzo (or Durros) after the landing of the Italian army. Some L3/33 tankettes are standing on the side of the road of the Bulevardi Epidamn, the drivers sitting on top. In the background the Great Mosque of Durres can be seen
