The Oliwa Cathedral at Danzig, 1938
This is a photograph of the Oliwa Cathedral in Gdansk. It is dedicated to The Holy Trinity, Blessed Virgin Mary and St Bernard. The three-nave basilica was built at the end of the 12th century by the Cistercians and belonged to a monastery. In 1925, with the establishment of a diocese by Pope Paul VI, the church was raised to the dignity of a cathedral
