Opening of Littoriali competitions in the university town
In 1935, the Citta universitaria of Rome hosted the nationwide art and culture competition of the Italian Fascist Party, the Littoriali dell'Arte e della Cultura'. The picture shows the opening ceremony, which Mussolini also attended. A large statue represents a man with fasces. In front of it stand standard bearers from all regions of Italy
