Opossum (Didelphis) in a tree

The two different kinds of opossum (Didelphis) existing in North and South America have a grey-white fur and are good climbers, they grow up to 45cm and eat fruit, small animals and kitchen leftovers. The North American opossum (didelphis marsupidis, Didelphis virginiana) is bigger than the South American (Didelphis paraguayensis, Didelphis azarae). They are different from the Australian opossum or bushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula)
