With the ox team on a field in Italy, around 1938

Two farmers spread manure, which they fetch from an ox-drawn cart, on a field. The photograph was taken near Torviscosa in Friuli, probably towards the end of the 1930s, when a cellulose factory was built in the municipality. This, together with the draining of the marshy land, was part of the autarky policy of fascist Italy
