The paddle frigates Barbarossa and Erzherzog Johann

The wooden paddle frigates Barbarossa and the sister ship Erzherzog Johann, two ships of the Imperial Navy. The Barbarossa was launched in 1840 at Wood in Greenock. Its dimensions: length: 64 m - width: 16.5 m - draught: 5.2 m. Displacement: 1135 tons. The crew was about 200 men, the ship was equipped with 9 cannon and reached a maximum speed of 8 knots
