Paddle steamer in Lindau harbour, 1933
This shot of the New Lighthouse looking down on Lindau harbor was taken in the summer of 1933 during the shooting of director Karl Hartl's UFA film Her Serene Highness, the Saleswoman, which was released in November 1933. A paddle steamer is just picking up speed after casting off from the pier. On the lake promenade, walkers pass the Hotel Reutemann, the Hotel Helvetia, the Mangturm and the Hotel Lindauer Hof (from left to right)
