A painting by Gustav Boess offered for sale by the SA, 1933
After the Machtergreifung (seizure of power) a painting of the former mayor Gustav Boess is removed from the City Hall and offered for sale at the Muehlenklause at Muehlendamm. Boess, who had to withdraw due to involvement in the so-called Sklarek scandal in 1929, was accused of corruption by the Nazis. A sign at the painting makes reference to that. 01.01.1933-31.12.1933
