This painting, which shows the shooting of the police commander and city commander of the Munich Red Army at the time of the Soviet Republic, Rudolf Egelhofer, was painted in 1933 by Heinrich Ehmsen in exile in Moscow from memory. When it was displayed in the exhibition Munich in the 1920s in the Stadtmuseum, public protests and clashes took place (undated picture)
