Adolf Hitler visited Italy, allied with Nazi Germany, at the beginning of May 1938. On Friday, May 6, 1938, a parade with 50000 soldiers and members of fascist organizations took place on the Via Trionfale (today Via di San Gregorio) in Rome. The picture shows the female fascist legion parading in rows of 24, passing the tribune. On the tribune are (from left to right): Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy and his wife, Elena of Montenegro. Behind them line up other greats of both fascist states
