Parade for the American Flying Squadron under Italo Balbo

Air Minister Italo Balbo had flown in July and August on a round trip with a squadron of aircraft from Italy to Chicago and back (so-called Crociera aerea del Decennale). On August 13, 1933, the day after the return, the arrival of Balbo's squadron was celebrated in Rome with a big party. In the picture, the pilots and flight crews are marching on Via Celio Vibenna in the ancient old city of Rome.
