Parade at the Neue Wache in Berlin, 1936

To commemorate the birthday of Frederick the Great, the Knights of the High Order Pour le Merite gathered in Berlin on January 24, 1936, to lay a wreath at the Neue Wache Memorial. An honorary company of the guard troop of the Neue Wache marches up in front of the order bearers, among them Field Marshal August von Mackensen (center, front row, greeting) and the city commander of Berlin General Ernst Schaumburg (left beside)
