Parade of troops for Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini

Adolf Hitler visited Italy, allied with Nazi Germany, at the beginning of May 1938. On Friday, May 6, 1938, a parade with 50000 soldiers and members of fascist organizations took place on the Via Trionfale (today Via di San Gregorio) in Rome. The picture shows the divisions parading in rows of 24 past the tribune with shouldered rifles. On the tribune are (from left to right): Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy and his wife Elena of Montenegro. Behind them are other greats of both fascist states
