Paris under German occupation, 1941
The facade of the French Chamber of Deputies in Paris is decorated for propaganda purposes, with a huge V and a banner that says Germany wins on all fronts'. The big V was originally intended as a resistance symbol and should have been painted at nigh by all French on all walls and roads (call from London). But the Nazi counter-propaganda made from it a promotional hit for the German final victory by converting the V-sign to their own symbol of victory
