Parliament in Vienna, 1938
A swastika flag flies on the flagpole in front of the Vienna Parliament building shortly before the annexation of Austria to the German Reich. The building was built from 1874 - 83 according to plans by the Danish architect Theophil von Hansen. The four meter tall statue of Pallas Athena by Carl Kundmann (19104) stands in front of the parliament in the fountain already designed by von Hansen
