About 2500 Germans and Austrians living in England are taken by the Wilhelm Gustloff on their first official trip from Tilbury outside the three-mile limit, to can participate in the Reichstag elections and the referendum on the annexation of Austria. Here, voters have lined up at the railing, as the Gustloff leaves the Port of Tilbury. On the chimney shines the swastika emblem of the German Labor Front. Date created: 10.04.1938
