The Parseval in front its new hangar in Johannisthal, 1910
The non-rigid blimp of the type Parseval in front its new hangar in Johannisthal on the occasion of the International Aviation Week in May 1910. Unlike the Zeppelin type in which a rigid framework ensured the external shape stability, in this Parseval the airship shell was ensured by the overpressure of the buoyant gas. After the first successful ascent on 26/05/1906 August Franz Max von Parseval built in Bitterfeld a total of 23 rigid airships
