Delegates from all states of the USA singing the American national anthem during the 20th National Convention of the Republican Party in the stadium in Chicago. On the ceiling hang countless American flags. The delegates elected the acting President Herbert Hoover as presidential candidate for the upcoming elections. However, it was Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the Governor of New York and presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, who won the presidential elections on 8 November 1932
