The gondola of the airship Graf Zeppelin after the termination of the voyage to America on 16 May 1929. In front in the gondola, behind the wheel, Dr. Hugo Eckener, the leader of the airship can be recognized. After the breakdown of two engines the captain cancelled the trip. Because of the heavy winds the landing was impossible in Friedrichshafen, the Graf Zeppelin was fixed on the French naval airship base Cuers-Pierrefeu at Toulon, it was built a replacement engine and returned to Friedrichshafen
