Photo montage of the airship anchor station on the Empire St
A montage shows the airship of the American Navy anchored on the Empire State Building. In the 1920s and 1930s airships were more powerful than airplanes, and for this reason a landing station was planned in the center of New York. It was originally planned to finish the mooring tower in May 1931
