Pilatus House in Oberammergau, around 1900
In this splendidly painted house (so-called Pilatushaus) in Ludwig-Thoma-Strasse No. 10 was the Handlung von Joh. Lang. / K. h. Salzniederlage'. The house was also called Burgermeisterhaus after a former mayor named Johann Lang, who had also been the director of the Passion Play. Today the town hall is located in the house. The undated photo was taken by B. Johannes from Partenkirchen, probably around 1900
