The so-called Plymouth Rock allegedly marked the spot where on 11 December 1620, the Pilgrim Fathers landed. The Pilgrim Fathers were the first Puritan settlers in New England, who crossed with other settlers the Atlantic on the Mayflower and founded the colony of Plymouth
