Dr. E. E. Free, an employee of the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, shows a group of children Benjamin Franklin's electrical experiment. A metal bar was attached to the rhombus-shaped kite that Franklin let fly during bad weather, and when it touched the wet kite string it functioned as a conductor for the lightening
