Prince Adalbert of Bavaria
This photograph shows Prince Adalbert of Bavaria, son of King Ludwig I and Queen consort Therese of Bavaria. On August 25, 1856 Adalbert married Amalia of Bourbon, Infanta of Spain, daughter of Francisco de Paula of Bourbon, Duke of Cadiz and his wife Luisa Carlotta of Naples-Sicily. Adalbert was heir to Greece. He wears the Order of the Golden Fleece. Originally, this order of knights was based on the Order of the Monks, but later it was awarded by the Emperor for ones deeds. On the collar hangs golden ramskin. Undated photo
