A railway bridge to be dismantled over the Nahe, around 1919
The railroad agreement between Germans and French, that was kept secret for a long time, stated that not only many railways had to be destroyed, but station buildings and railway bridges as well. According to this, the bridge in the background was destroyed over the Nahe, a tributary of the Rhine.The construction of a new two-track railway bridge, which is recognizable in the foreground, had to be stopped (Undated photo)
