Recon squadron of the Condor Legion at Mallorca, 1939
Photo of a group of Heinkel He 59 recon aircrafts of the 89th Seefliegerstaffel (naval pilot squadron) of the Condor Legion over the Mediterranean Sea at Mallorca. The aircrafts are carrying the cockades of the Condor Legion and the Saint Andrew's Cross (vertical tail) of the Spanish Air Force. The squadron was stationed in the Port de Pollenca in Mallorca, and it was supposed to protect German merchant ships
