Reconstruction of the Kaiser Wilhelm monument in Memel, 1939

Inauguration of the monument to Emperor Wilhelm I ('William the Great') in Memel (Klaipeda) that had been destroyed in 1923 and was now reconstructed. The ceremony is attended by members of the Memel German Warrior's Society (Kriegerbund), further Memel German organizations, left of the monument stand members of the new Memel Directorate Wilhelm Bartuleit, the members of the German Consulate General and (right of the tree in front) Ernst Neumann in the uniform of Memel German Security Service (SS)
